The Sun was out today in all of its splendid warmth!
As a result . . .
The flowers at the Villa Skorpion
started to bloom!
I decided to stay at home against my better explorer wishes in order to properly prepare for tonight's practice and continue our efforts to secure win #2 of the season on Saturday.
I got a lot of work done today and since the weather report for Wednesday calls for more sunshine, I will take advantage tomorrow and explore the city of Bergamo.

There was excellent competition tonight at practice which always makes coaching more enjoyable.
We had visitors at practice tonight.
Dave Stireman, Hayden Frasco
and Robert Frasco
Dave and Bob are from American import players who played in Italy in the late 1980s with many of our Skorpion coaches.
Hayden is Robert's son.
They are together for a European holiday and are visiting their old EuroBall stomping grounds for a few days.
As always, there was an interesting twist as Dave and Robert have Southern California ties including having worked with none other than EuroBall legend Chris Pagliaro.
Throw in Skorpion Coach Ottavio Mengo's Sunday declaration of having played for Coach Pagliaro back in the day and that makes three former players in three days that connect the dots back to Coach Pags.
As I have stated before, Chris was instrumental in helping me get my first coaching job in EuroBall back in 2008.
Small world indeed . . .
