Domingo en la Ciudad de Mexico

Sunday, August 6, 2017:

Sunday was the last day of preparation for your Europe Warriors.

Thus it was a combination of two two-hour meetings with the players, game uniform distribution and a bit of walking to explore our hotel's immediate surroundings.

Beats me, but I liked
the looks of it

Apparently Uruguay and
Mexico are friendly

Good to know.

Futuristic church

REAL street tacos with . . .

. . . ingredients al fresco

Heroic

Mexican flag colors

Laurie and I loved visiting
the Gardens at Xochimilco
on a Sunday back in 1971

Yellow is a nice color

Sunday Brunch on the sidewalk

Good looking meat ready to serve

 Fruits are good too

Liquid DEATH!

No, I did NOT eat any food on the streets.

Yet.

Our morning meeting

Time to set down the team rules and guidelines.

OT Luis Rodarte
sporting his new game jersey

Luis is from Mexico and played for our opponents, the UNAM Pumas, last Fall. He played in Spain with the Osos Rivas of Madrid in the Spring.

Mike Garza
Nipomo H.S. California

He is listed as a running back but our DC wants him at LB.

BADLY.

Mike played in Norway last year and is going to be fun to coach.

 The bridge to the Mall

Chips anyone?

WR Charles de la Roque

Another great Warrior whom is from France and played for the Aix-en-Provence Argonautes in the Spring.

Jack Pedersen
MASSIVE!

He will be our Center, hails from Denmark and played for the Aarhus Tigers in his home country this past season.

The real work starts tomorrow with practices from 10:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and again from 5:45 p.m. to 7:20 p.m.

The testosterone will be flying for sure as our young men start to mark their territory.

LET THE FUN BEGIN!
